J. Connelly Rental Ltd is your trusted choice when you are in need of quality and reliable equipment rental services in Ottawa. Since our establishment in 1989, we have been committed to catering to the needs of our customers in a professional and timely manner.

Mr. Connelly was a person who wanted to improve his career opportunities and continue his quest for new challenges. At the early age of 29, he was offered this path by two great businessmen who eventually became his business partners. This helped him achieve his goals of owning a mechanic shop. His mentor and now business partner (Gratien Proulx) provided him with lift trucks on rent. Once this project grew, they concentrated on smaller tools and in March 1989, they established J.Connelly Rental Ltd. The company had only two employees, including Mr. Connelly himself. After years of hard work, the business saw success. A few years later, Mrs. Manon Goyet joined the team and worked as his receptionist/secretary.

Together, they invested a lot of time and energy in order to secure a stable clientele for the company, which helped them add new equipment to their fleet and diversify their purchase. This was when Mr. Connelly acquired some of his first heavy equipment. Later in 2006, Mr. Connelly decided to buy back his partner’s shares. With the collaboration of his wife Manon Goyet, this Ottawa equipment rental company continues to grow and flourish.

In 2019, Junior and his brother Jason bought back the company from their uncle Mr. Connelly and his wife, to continue the family tradition of offering best-quality service. We want to preserve the values they built over 30 years, and we sponsor local hockey teams.
